The Production Kit
Everything needed to record episode one of The Burton Floral Design Podcast: the cover artwork, the opening and closing scripts, and a plain-spoken recording checklist. When the first audio file exists, we publish it to the show's feed and it streams on Spotify and Amazon Music.
Cover Artwork

The base artwork is sized square for podcast directories. Show title and presenter typography are rendered by the site; for Apple Podcasts and Spotify, the title text should be added over this art in the final 3000×3000 export when the show registers with directories.

Opening Script
[MUSIC: warm acoustic intro, 5 seconds, fade under] [HOST] Welcome to The Burton Floral Design Podcast — real answers to real flower questions from the family florists Burton has known since 1963. Whether you got engaged last weekend or your wedding is next month, this show has one job: to answer the real questions people ask, one episode at a time — budgets, timelines, vendors, flowers, and the things nobody warns you about. I'm your host, and today we're talking about [EPISODE TOPIC]. Brought to you by Bentley Florist and the Bovan Floral Group. Let's get into it. [MUSIC: out]
Closing Script
[MUSIC: warm acoustic outro, fade in under last line] [HOST] That's it for this episode of The Burton Floral Design Podcast. If it helped, share it with someone who just got engaged — that's how local shows like this one find the people who need them. You'll find show notes, planning checklists, and every free download we mentioned at BurtonFloralDesign.com — along with the full Wedding Planning Center. And when you're ready to talk about your own flowers, that part is easy. Request a consultation at BurtonFloralDesign.com, call us at 810-742-3174, or order anytime at BentleyFlorist.com. From all of us at Bentley Florist: happy planning. We'll see you at the next episode. [MUSIC: up and out]
Recording Checklist
- A quiet room with soft surfaces — the workroom after hours beats an echoing office
- Any decent USB microphone; consistency matters more than equipment cost
- Record each episode as one relaxed take — edits can trim, conversation cannot be faked
- Say the guest's name and business clearly at the start and end (it becomes their shareable clip)
- Keep episodes to one question, 15-25 minutes; two shorter episodes beat one long one
- After recording: send us the audio file — it goes out on the show's feed and streams on Spotify and Amazon Music
When Episode One Exists
It joins the show's feed and streams on Spotify and Amazon Music — the podcast page at /podcast sends listeners there. The 400-topic roadmap stays honest until then: every topic is labeled "Planned," and nothing is presented as recorded before it is.
Pick any topic from the roadmap for episode one — Season 1's opener, "Getting Engaged: Where Do We Start?", pairs naturally with the planning guide of the same name.
