Meet Wanita
Every flower shop has a heartbeat, and ours answers to the name Wanita. She grew up in this business — she has been surrounded by flowers since she was a kid helping out in her family's shop — and today she leads the Bovan Floral Group family of florists, including Bentley Florist right here in Burton.

Her story
Wanita is a lifelong member of a family floral business. She started working alongside her family at their June's Floral shop when she was still in middle school, and never really left the design bench. Over the years the family's shops grew and came together, and in 2024 they were united under one roof at the Bentley Florist location on South Belsay Road in Burton.
Years of experience
Raised in the floral industry, Wanita has spent decades in retail floral — from her first middle-school shifts at June's Floral to leading the Bovan Floral Group today.
Quality comes first
Wanita believes an arrangement is only as good as the stems inside it and the hands that built it. Every design that leaves the shop is checked against one simple standard: would she be proud to hand it to her own family?
A step-by-step process
Good flowers don't happen by accident. Wanita runs the shop on a careful, step-by-step process — from selecting and conditioning each stem, to designing, to the final check before delivery — so nothing is left to chance on your wedding day or your hardest day.
Kindness to everybody
Ask anyone who has called the shop: Wanita believes in being kind to everybody, whether you're ordering a single rose or the flowers for a 300-guest wedding. Every customer gets the same patience, the same honesty, and the same care.
Recognition
Under Wanita's leadership, the family of shops was named 2023 Retailer of the Year by the Great Lakes Floral Association — an award chosen by peers across Michigan's floral industry.
In the community
Wanita's love of flowers doesn't stop at the shop door. She has shared her year-round passion for blossoms with local audiences, including a feature on ABC12, and the shop stays woven into Burton life — from school events to community celebrations.
